Jerry's '40 Ford "Mirage"

This outstanding 1940 Ford owned by Suzanne and Jerry Macenas is called "Mirage".  It was custom designed by Chip Foose, metal work and body, by Sam Foose. The car was completed by Bob Bruhn and Sam Foose. It's clearly one of the most unique cars in the country and the only 2 door Hardtop 40 Ford known to exist at this time.

There are approximately 90 body mods, including 3 1/2 in chopped top, 4 1/2 in laid back windshield, 3 1/4 in section, reshaped wheel wells, reshaped running boards, reshaped window openings, hood 1 3/4 in pie cut, completely seamless car, all finders are molded.  It was a 2-1/2 yr. project, introduced 4/01 at Good Guys West Coast Nationals, and was "Street Rod of the Year". Since then "Mirage" has collected almost 100 awards. It's one of the most recognized custom rods on the West Coast.

Some features include custom built 350 Corvette motor, Turbo 400 trans, and Gear Vendors .78:1 overdrive. Bassani polished stainless steel exhaust and mufflers, Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes.
